For decades, I have been involved with soaps for dogs and cats at the Japan Handmade Dog Soap Association.
I am completely driven by the perspective of a dog and cat parent.
I make soaps that are gentle on the skin and coat.
It is also highly moisturizing.
It does not contain essential oils that can irritate the skin.
The name Papifuwa is inspired by the soft coat of a puppy's coat.
I used black bean tea for the water.
(The main pigment of black beans is anthocyanin (cyanidin-3-glucoside) contained in the seed coat, but I do not know if all of the black pigment is anthocyanin. The seed coat also contains a considerable amount of proanthocyanidin (polymer of anthocyanidin) and catechin, which are not coloring ingredients.)
The soap has survived the heatwaves of summer and has been thoroughly soaped.
Store in the vegetable compartment of the refrigerator.
[How to use the soap]
It is a solid soap, but it dissolves in water.
Cut off the amount you will use and soak overnight in water that is three times the volume of soap.
Can be used as a liquid shampoo
Do not use synthetic conditioner after shampooing.
The sebum from your dog's skin will reach the ends of the coat on the third day after shampooing.
(The fluffiness will calm down and the coat will regain its natural shine)
