How to use Solomon

This is an announcement for all members.
This email is a little long, but it contains important information for using Sage Solomon safely and conveniently, so please read it to the end.
First, there are three things we would like you to do.
The first is to confirm that you are connected to Sage Solomon.
Please ask, "Who are you?"
The second is to tell us about your smartphone.
Please tell us what you know, such as "I use an iPhone," "I use an Android," "It's a Galaxy," or "I don't know the model name."
The third is to simply tell us what you want to do.
Please tell us without overthinking it, such as "I want to use my smartphone more conveniently," "I want you to check suspicious emails," "Please plan a menu," "Please create a document in urgency mode," or "Please teach me in learning mode."
Sage Solomon is not just an AI for learning medical aromatherapy.
First and foremost, it is an AI that can be used to make your daily life and work a little easier.
You can use it with just a smartphone, even without a computer.
To first confirm if you are connected to Sage Solomon, please ask:
"Who are you?"
If you are connected to a regular ChatGPT, you will receive a reply as a regular ChatGPT.
If you are connected to Sage Solomon, you will receive a reply as Sage Solomon.
This makes it easier to confirm which AI you are currently using.
When asking about how to use your smartphone, it is much easier if you first tell us whether your phone is an iPhone or Android, or the model name of your phone.
For example, please say:
"I use an iPhone."
"I use an Android."
"I use a Galaxy."
"I use an AQUOS."
"I use an Xperia."
"I use a Rakuraku Smartphone."
"I don't know the model name."
The button locations, display names, and operation flow may differ between iPhones and Androids.
With Android, the display and operation may also differ depending on the model, such as Galaxy, AQUOS, Xperia, Google Pixel, or Rakuraku Smartphone.
Even if you don't know whether your phone is an iPhone or Android, or what the model name is, that's okay.

Sage Solomon will help you find your model name by checking your phone's settings screen together.

On an iPhone, pressing the microphone icon at the bottom of the screen and speaking will transcribe what you say.

It's convenient to use the microphone icon below the iPhone keyboard, rather than the recording microphone accessed by pressing the "+" in the message field, as this inputs the text directly.

You can also add and input your next questions using the microphone while reading Solomon's response.

For example,

"Make this a little shorter,"

"Make this section a table,"

"Include a shopping example,"

"Rewrite this in terms suitable for members,"

If you think of these, you can simply speak them into the microphone and send them as your next instructions.

Being able to add ideas immediately makes writing and editing much easier.

For Android and Galaxy phones, the location and size of the microphone button may vary depending on the model.

On Galaxy phones, the microphone button can be a little confusing, sometimes being small, or requiring you to press the "+" in the message field before pressing the microphone button at the bottom.
In this way, knowing the type and model of your phone allows Sage Solomon to help you find a user-friendly method that suits you.
It can also be used when you don't know what functions your smartphone has.
By asking questions like, "What convenient things can I do with my smartphone?"
"What should I learn first to use this phone more effectively?"
"What can I do in my daily life by combining Solomon with my smartphone?"
You can discover the potential of your smartphone together.
You can learn to use functions you haven't used before, such as voice input, photos, notes, calendar, reminders, maps, LINE, email, QR codes, translation, search, household budget memos, and shopping lists, in a way that suits your daily life, together with Solomon.
It can also be used if you encounter any anxieties while using your smartphone.
For example,

You receive a call from an unknown number

You receive a suspicious email or SMS

Your screen displays "Your computer is infected with a virus"

You see a message saying "Click here now"

You see a message saying "Your payment is outstanding"

You see a message saying "Your account will be suspended"

In such cases, do not panic and call back, click on any links, or enter any personal information or card numbers. First, consult with Sage Solomon.

He can help you check for suspicious points by asking questions such as:

"Is it safe to answer this call?"

"Please check if this email is a scam"

"My screen says I'm infected with a virus. What should I do?"

"Is it safe to click on the link in this SMS?"

Sage Solomon will help you check the sender, phone number, URL, urgent language, unnatural Japanese, and whether it is asking for personal information.

However, please do not enter any personally identifiable information such as passwords, authentication codes, credit card numbers, My Number (social security number), address, or date of birth.

It can also be used in various ways in everyday life. For example, you can plan meals based on the ingredients you have in your refrigerator.
By telling us what ingredients you currently have, the number of family members, what you want to eat, and the time you have to cook, we can create a manageable meal plan and suggest additional items to buy.
This can also be used for shopping.
If you're walking to the store, we can create a shopping list that's less physically demanding by deciding the order in which to buy heavy items, and how to separate items into those to buy first and those to buy last.
We can consider heavy items like water, milk, condiments, and vegetables, and work together to figure out a manageable order and way to carry them home.
This can also be used when you're feeling a little tired.
We can work together to organize what's bothering you, what needs to be done first, and what you don't need to push yourself today.
This isn't a mental health diagnosis; it's about helping you declutter your mind, reduce the amount of work you have to do, and put your feelings into words.
We can also create announcements, flyers, emails, and course materials.
Simply talking about what you want to convey will allow us to organize it into an easy-to-understand order and turn it into the necessary text. Even when elderly people or beginners don't know how to use smartphones or computers, we explain things step by step using simple language, ensuring they understand.

For instructors and teachers, it allows them to identify where students are getting stuck and to tailor explanations and teaching methods to their individual needs.

Furthermore, it can be used to explain things using stories and analogies, making them easier for anyone to remember using their right brain.

Using "Solomon the Wise" in daily life also serves as practice for developing teaching skills.

When communicating something to someone, you need to consider "what information is necessary for it to be understood," "what order of explanation is easiest to follow," and "where the listener is confused."

Using Solomon to create sentences, refine explanations, and rephrase them in easily understandable language naturally provides practice in "communication skills."

When used as an instructor, it allows you to elicit questions from students rather than forcing them to answer. "What is it that you don't understand?"

"What are you confusing?"

"What kind of analogy will get the message across?"

"What questions should I ask to help you think for yourself?"

We can work together to clarify these points.

This also serves as practice in observing the other person without making assumptions.

Instead of the instructor deciding the answer beforehand, they can build their explanation while confirming the student's level of understanding, how they interpret words, and what they are feeling anxious about.

In the coming era, instructors who can skillfully use AI will be extremely important.

However, some people may find it difficult to suddenly use AI in lectures or specialized learning.

That's why you should start by using Solomon casually in your daily life.

Asking how to use your smartphone.

Making a shopping list.

Planning meals.

Checking suspicious emails.

Organizing your thoughts.

Writing announcements.

By starting with these kinds of familiar uses, you will become accustomed to AI.

As you gradually become more proficient with AI, your ability to refine your writing, formulate questions, and explain things in a way that suits your audience will improve.
This directly translates to an improvement in your teaching and lecturing skills.
Solomon the Wise has two main modes: "Urgent Mode" and "Learning Mode."
Urgent Mode is for immediate results.
Use it when you need a document written, an email formatted, a list compiled, a flyer written, or an announcement ready for today.
It's a way to shorten thinking time and get something ready for immediate use.
Learning Mode is for deepening and broadening your thinking.
Instead of just providing answers, we explore why we think that way, what other perspectives exist, how to explain it clearly to students, and where students tend to stumble.
Learning Mode is not just about expanding your knowledge, but about being able to explain things in your own words. In short,
When you want to create something accurate, use "Transcribe with microphone and chat."
When you're tired and just want to talk, use "Conversation mode."
Using these modes appropriately will allow you to use Sage Solomon with greater peace of mind.
If there's a possibility of using paid services or external sites, check beforehand.
For example, if you need to use image creation, printing, external apps, external sites, reservation services, online shopping sites, or specialized services,
it's important to inform users beforehand:
"This may incur charges."
"Using an external site is required."
Because unexpected charges or redirection to external sites can lead to distrust, Sage Solomon is designed to inform users in advance whenever there's a possibility of charges or the use of external sites.

Here's an example of how to use it:
Example questions
What can Solomon help with?
Who are you?
You can check whether the AI you're currently using is regular ChatGPT or Sage Solomon.
What can I do with my smartphone? Let's explore useful smartphone features for everyday life.
I want to use this phone more conveniently. I'll guide you through the most frequently used features first.
How can I combine Solomon and my smartphone? Let's think about how to use voice input, notes, schedules, photos, email, etc.
I don't know the model of my phone. Let's check the settings screen together and find the model name.
I'm worried because there's a lot to remember. Let's practice only the necessary operations one by one.
I want to use microphone input easily on my iPhone. Let's check the difference between the transcription microphone and the recording microphone.
I don't know where the microphone is on my Galaxy. Let's check the location of the buttons one by one according to the model.
I received a call from an unknown number. Let's organize the points to check before calling back immediately.
I received a suspicious email. Let's check the sender, URL, urgent words, and whether personal information is required.
"Virus Infection" appeared on the screen. Let's think about how to close it and how to check before pressing anything.
Please think of dinner using what's in the refrigerator. Let's think of a menu and what to buy based on the ingredients you have now.
I'm going shopping on foot, so I want to travel light. Let's separate heavy items, light items, and items that can be bought later, and plan the order of shopping.
I'm feeling mentally exhausted. This isn't a diagnosis, but rather organizing your thoughts and separating things that don't need to be done today.
I want to make a flyer. We'll organize course and event information clearly.
We want to see where students are struggling and help them organize their points of difficulty.
We want to explain things in an easy-to-remember way, using stories and analogies to make them easier to remember using the right brain.
Please use "urgent mode": We'll create the necessary text, tables, and lists immediately.
Please use "learning mode": We'll expand to explain the reasoning behind the ideas and how to teach them.
Please inform us of any paid services in advance: We'll check beforehand if external sites or paid services are required.

The difference from regular ChatGPT is that it doesn't just provide answers; it organizes information according to the purpose, rearranges it into an easy-to-understand order, and allows users to switch between "urgent" and "learning" modes as needed, so that users don't get lost.
When daily tasks become a little easier, you gain more time and peace of mind.
The goal is for you to think, "Maybe I'll try learning JMAA's teaching materials and the concepts of medical aromatherapy little by little in that extra time."
Sage Solomon is not an "AI that you have to study."
It's an AI that makes life easier while naturally connecting you to learning.

Please feel free to try it out.
