The Japan Medical Aromatherapy Association, a nonprofit organization, is celebrating its 23rd anniversary.
As of January 1, 2018, its membership has exceeded 14,000.
With an increasing number of branches both in Japan and overseas, aromatherapy awareness and dissemination are expanding.
This is all thanks to our members.

Our association works to spread awareness of medical aromatherapy, both for therapists as a form of treatment and for the general public as a method of home health management, in the hopes of helping as many people as possible live healthy, happy lives. We also work with veterinarians on a similar theme for pets.

Our association, with the help of many physicians and veterinarians, studies "medical aromatherapy as therapy" and promotes it as an academic discipline.
Unlike general aromatherapy and medical aromatherapy, physicians and veterinarians consider it a form of "therapy." Therefore, we say, "Our association's medical aromatherapy is a therapy." We believe that the scent itself has no beneficial effects.

Through activities such as those mentioned above, we currently have the world's largest number of clinical trials.

Our certification is known overseas as the "Japanese style," distinct from the "British style" and "French style."

We are not a profit-making organization engaged in the qualification business.
As a specified non-profit organization, we do not charge annual membership or renewal fees.

(The Association's Cloud System is a website that can be used free of charge by members for various purposes, including reservations, sales, and marketing. Starting in 2019, it will automatically support international languages.)

By 2021, the Association plans to evolve from its current NPO status to a global NGO.
