The NPO Japan Medical Aromatherapy Association (JMAA) was founded on June 1, 1995.
Our idea of medical aromatherapy is to formulate prescriptions that utilize the ingredients of essential oils like medicine.
For this reason, diluting essential oils with carrier oils does not penetrate the skin, and we believe that the healing effect of the scent is achieved rather than treatment.
Furthermore, when mixing essential oils with water, we do not emulsify the oils with ethanol!
*The molecular weight of carrier oils is approximately 1000. The molecular weight of essential oils is at most 350.
To formulate prescriptions that take into account both skin penetration and the pharmacological effects of essential oils, the molecular weight must be 500 or less.

*Ethanol accelerates a chemical change called esterification, which changes the pharmacological effects of essential oils, resulting in a pleasant fragrance rather than a medicinal effect.

We are working to raise awareness and promote medical aromatherapy.
We do not sell medical aromatherapy products (for humans), so please participate in our hands-on study sessions where you can make your own.
Participation is free! You only need to pay for the materials.

★For Intermediate and Beginner Courses
If you cancel after your reservation has been confirmed (payment has been made and textbooks have been ordered), we will refund the entire amount minus the cost of the textbooks.

Please note that cancellations without notice will not be refunded.

★For Certified Courses
・10 days to 1 week in advance: ¥5,500
・6 days to 2 days in advance: 50% of the course fee
・The day before or on the day: 100%
・If the venue is a rental space, rental fees apply
※Date changes are free once (rental fees still apply). In this case, please make your reservation within three months.
(Note) If we do not receive any reservation confirmation within three months, we will charge you ¥5,500. Thank you for your understanding.

★ For one-off workshops (beauty seminars, soap making classes, etc.)
- Free up to 10 days before (refunds will be made minus bank transfer fees)
- 9th to the day: 100% (no refunds will be given)

[Cancellation of the event]
If the event is canceled due to the instructor's circumstances,
we will generally contact you by email or phone at least 7 days before the event, except in unavoidable circumstances such as the instructor's sudden illness. The course fee will be refunded in full.
