The Japan Medical Aromatherapy Association (JMAA), a non-profit organization, was established on June 1, 1995.
Our idea of medical aroma is to formulate prescriptions that utilize the ingredients of essential oils like medicine.
For this reason, dilution with carrier oil does not penetrate the skin, and we think that the healing effect of the scent is not a treatment.
In addition, when mixing essential oils with water, we do not emulsify the essential oils with ethanol! !
*The molecular weight of carrier oil is about 1000. The molecular weight of essential oils is at most 350.
To formulate prescriptions that take into account the penetration of the skin and the pharmacological effects of essential oils, the molecular weight must be 500 or less.
*Ethanol promotes a chemical change called esterification, which changes the pharmacological effect of essential oils, changing them into a pleasant scent rather than a pharmacological effect.
