In addition to my main job as a chiropractor, I also work with the Japan Medical Aromatherapy Association to promote its vision of "May all people, both in Japan and around the world, be happy and healthy." As the name suggests, medical aromatherapy is an alternative medicine that uses the power of essential oils, rather than scents, to treat physical discomfort before illness develops and improve symptoms that do not necessarily lead to illness. While aromatherapy is primarily focused on scents and healing in Japan, our association's aromatherapy differs from French or British styles in that it directly delivers medicinal ingredients into the body for treatment, resulting in a distinctly different effect. We tailor our recipes to each individual, creating a unique Japanese-style aromatherapy (as it's known overseas). I believe there is no other aromatherapy like this anywhere else.
