Difference between soap and synthetic detergent
 
Soaps are made from natural fats and oils or fatty acids.
By reacting natural fats and oils with caustic soda, soap with plenty of moisturizing ingredients can be made.
 
 
 
Synthetic detergents are made from petroleum and natural fats and oils.
First, a synthetic surfactant is produced from petroleum. In addition, synthetic surfactants are produced through complex chemical synthesis such as sulfation and neutralization. Recently, there are synthetic detergents derived from plants, but as with synthetic detergents derived from petroleum, they repeat complex chemical synthesis, and ultimately contain synthetic surfactants that do not exist in nature.
